Present Motives

Darkness drowns the duskiness like an ocean
Trusting no evil surrounds is the only notion.
What happens next, not one could distinguish,
These thoughts are hard to extinguish.

What motives make my mind wander,
My thinking veers as I sit here and ponder.
What is the genesis, none of this makes sense,
What lurks the corner keeps us all in suspense.

No plans for future, no cognition of past,
Present time that has passed, simply vast.
Notorious victorious abstractions on paper,
Best written down, or else turned to vapor.
