A hand,
pressed softly against the glass.
It appears to beckon:
“I'm trapped!”

I choose to ignore
a sensible hand would shatter the glass,
content to bleed for freedom.

But oxygen
slowly loses dominion
behind the glass.

In the time that I ignore
the hand goes limp, falling;
and with it falling, I

receive a lesson
in gravity
