Destination me

My heart tells the time
when I have to run
when I have to hide
what time am I due back in your arms
at what minute the storm will hit

My brain tells the temperature
how cold your eyes glare
how hot is his burbourn stained breath
will I freeze in my despair
how warm is too warm to cry

My feet tell the direction I'm heading
north to where you stand in the sun tonight
south to the morning moon in yesterdays slack
east into an embrace: forever or for a moment
west where my dreams are buried in the sand of tomorrow

If I lost myself somewhere
It's a wonder where I'd end up/
