A Man Picks a Flower
A man picks a flower
in a field far away.
Memories flash.
Of his wife
and the flowers he gave her,
praying she would give him a chance.
Of his daughter
how she loved,
to play in the rain.
He thought of the men,
who came to the village,
who burned down their house
and poisoned their well.
If only he was there.
To stop them,
to warn them,
but he was too late.
A man crushed a flower,
in a field far away.
Trying to keep living,
with his galaxy crushed
