Somber waves crashing cares
Against the shore. But tow-head
Curls caught unawares
So sweetly snatched and then
Dragged deep, and silent
Screams procure nothing
But wishing wells far sent
Maybe forever gone Awry;
Because a perfect summer flower
Presents no dying cry.

I love the imagery in this poem, and the vision of a small child being swept out to sea is so sad, yet beautaifully written..."a perfect summer flower present no dying cry." Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
