"In the end, it will be okay; if it's not okay, then it's not the end!"

I remember you as if you never left me,
Like the way you smiled, and your curly brown hair.
You made life easier than had to be,
And whenever I needed you, you were always there.

I remember how you always smelled like Dove,
And how you always meant well, so filled with love.
I remember your long groomed nails,
And how you taught me that clear nail polish never fails.

I remember those pretty brown eyes,
And how you used black mascara, as your disguise.
And how you'd make me do my homework neatly,
All correct, and finished completely.

If I ever wanted to know something I wasn't supposed to,
You'd say "Not until you're eighteen",
And taught me to never believe things untrue,
Because things aren’t always as they seem.

You were more than just an aunt to me,
You were my smile, my best friend,
My sunny day, and light that helped me see;
But to heaven, you had to ascend.

I never pictured my life without you,
And now that you're gone, well what can I do?
As you know, you were my other part;
And you will never leave that special place in my heart.

You could have lived so long, and done so much more.
You still had your life ahead of you, and could've gone back to that ocean shore.
That beach where you first held my hand,
 And made towering castles in the sand.

You could do anything, you were a super hero.
You would even go swimming if it was below zero.
If you wanted, I bet you could've even gone to Mars,
Walking around in your spacesuit, and wishing on the stars.

But you are in heaven now, with God you'll forever stay.
And I want you to always remember, I think about you everyday.
I know he'll cherish you, as much as the family and I did,
Because I still remember you, from when I was a little kid.
