Dead, You don’t Know the Meaning (trust me)

I’m not alive
At least not today
I’m disappearing
In an unusual way

Death called me at a time
Messed with my head
Spilled a million rhymes
And I want to be dead

A stray cloud passing by
Sometimes it makes me wanna cry
With all of this stress
Makes me feel so darn depressed

Suffocation, is a lesson
To breathe, and to fade
Your life is ruled by your rules
And whatever you make, or made

Lies drown the sea
War escapes you and me
Destroying kids with stupidity
America and white trash
Add some s***** words
With f***ed up suburbs
Silly gang games that are
Taking over the world

Logic twisted inside your head
Complications with the dead
And I’m begging you please
If you ever find simplicity- call me.

But this doesn’t change the fact
That my life is useless
I guess I could just contain myself
I guess I could just brainwash myself

Does nobody care?
Is nobody out there?

Let’s take a roll
I’ll start a vote
A fair poll
To see if I’m alive, because…

I don’t think I am, in any way
At least not today

The author's comments:
I think we all at one time or another feel lost, lonely, and totally unsure of the world or ourselves. Sometime we get into these "dark moods", or go with the flow. And in a sense we are paused, we are dead. Most of my poems cirlce around different topics, about how sometimes we get to that end of the rope, and sometimes- just sometimes we cant just tie a knot and hang on... sometimes we have to let go...

I never appreciate despair, but beyond that this poem captures my emotions completely. What's more, the title itself dares against the reader which only makes me all the more want to understand, want to find something--want to be there. Very well done!
