My Brother
My brother is confused
He is angry and hurt
He harbors pain and won’t let go
He is misunderstood
Because he hides his face
He can’t let anyone see his emotions
For fear of them seeing his grief
So he withholds his joy just to be safe
My brother is smart
He understands so much
Only no one sees that part of him
He won’t play The Game
So the world ignores his talents
He refuses to conform so he is left out
He could be so great
But no one sees all the greatness in him
I see his greatness, his untapped potential
I also see his talents gone to waste
