When I look in the mirror I see a happy girl in the outside
Always trying to dress up to hide the worries
And not let anyone know how hard life really is
But the inside is not as good as everyone would expect
The world sees something I can’t see
But she hasn’t given up
Oh mirror mirror
Only if you would talk what would you tell me?
Would you be honest or would you show me something I’d rather see
When I look in the mirror all I see is make-up
but this girl is no artificial queen
Behind the make-up there’s insecurity
Of what other people may think and say
But beyond that there’s real maturity waiting to grow and bloom one day
