Jealousy

The green-eyed monster,
emerges from beneath me.
I hear the hungry growl
of his resentment.
My frustration with his presence,
triggers terrible thoughts of vengeance.
They bubble in my mind,
like boiling lava beneath a volcano peak.
The bitter taste of something I can't have.
