The soft whisper of autumn leaves

The warm feeling of tucking under the covers on a cold night
The simplicity of a Sunday walk under the maple trees
These are the things he won’t...

The smooth texture of a worthy hard-covered novel
The joy of sliding into home plate
These are the things he won’t...
Won’t touch, won’t see, won’t feel

Not anymore.
