The Monster Inside of You

December 14, 2009
I walk with my clumsy feet
My tunnel like vision leading the way
While my mind explodes on more important matters; like fireworks

Wandering the noisy halls
without a real destination in mind
Woring about some Algebra test I may have flunked

My little peace and serenity is then broken
Broken by my name in your lying voice
Your hand of ice cold guilt that brushes my shoulder

You expect me to smile but, I'm really not going to for you
I don't want to converse with you; look, talk, touch
I conspired with lust once, then left with a heart of guilt

You thought ME heartless but the truth is I knew you more then yourself
I gave you lots more then second chances, but you can't control me
You can't know the pain you bring me when I look into your monstrous eyes

Eyes of confusion, anger, lies, and deposition
But when you talk to me I want nothing more then
To walk away and leave you like I did once before

But when I look at you I don't see him, I see it
It; The Monster that consumed him, destroyed
The It i didn't see, that lied, that had a different provocative then myself

The beast inside you that sprang out to people and me
Please don't remember my feeling and leave the monster out
I don't care for its roars and complaints, in other words your

Blood can run from veins but it can't go far
Its trapped by air all to fast because the heart only has so much blood;love
Swept away;forgotten; ignored; by it; the monster; you

So when my name is called and my shoulder brushed
I turn slowly and unwillingly to see you and wish it not be true
because now all i see is that monster inside of you.
