Please Snow

Snow, snow, there is no snow.
They cry in joy, I just don't know!
It's winter time,
for snow to shine,
and fall on us below!

We should be sad, there is no fluff,
for other states don't get this stuff!
No snowmen, angels, snowball fights..
no frolicking in brisk delight.

So let us out to sing around,
Cheer to the heavens,
“Let it come down!”
And then we'll happ'ly go on our way,
for snow is truly here to stay.

For then..

They all will smile and shriek with glee,
“Here comes the blizzard on Christmas Eve!”
No pouts, or shouts, or sad forlorn,
Just wait, little hearts, for Christmas 'morn.

And now's the time to run and dive,
into the snow that comes alive,
With every child's' pure delight,
postpone the end of Christmas night.
