Meticulous work that’s not needed
A skill acquired over many of years
Subjects to this act have pleaded
Do not tear me, leave me be

When alone dark thoughts are haunting
Left to squirm in isolated terror
Awaiting the next period of taunting
It looms ahead, it lies in wait

The threads that split and grow thinner
Will one day gather once again
They’ll form the fibers of the winner
Who triumphed without speaking a word
