Mother!
Why have you forsaken me?
On this hill today
hanging on a thread.
Mother why have you forsaken?
Forsaken me from your thoughts,
forsaken me from your Providence.
Mother catch me as I fall.
The angels have failed,
now all that waits is darkness.
Cool the fire of hell for me.
For I have fallen
and will soon meet Lucifer.
Cool the fires,
for I fade into oblivion.

It has many meanings, I can't say what the official one is. Everyone can be forsaken in some way by their mother.
