Snapshot in Time
December 17, 2009
And the air is
flooded by a cool,
grassy translucense
that whispers over
the rocks and flowers
in our path.
The gravel crinkles
and crumples as
we run recklessly,
barely holding hands,
the energy surging between
our grazing fingertips.
I release one of my
airy, carefree laughs,
as your eyes gleam back
filled with innocent seduction.
Until our lips find each other
and the cauldron of my
thoughts bubbles over.
For just this one moment.
Just a snapshot in time.
