My Own Touching Story

I felt like that an hour ago
I feel like this right now
I was thinking about that an hour ago
I am thinking about this right now
Does it matter if I’m brown?
Does it matter if I’m different?
Does it matter if I’m brown?
I am like you
I’m indifferent
Do you feel good putting me down?
Just because of my skin colour
Just because I’m brown
I’m not a terrorist I swear
But I’m still judged and looked at and stared
I’m sure you know that I’m harmless
It’s just you and your terrible bitterness
Learn to respect everyone
If you don’t, one day you will suffer for what you have done
Because I am no different from you or her or him
I am no different from you, Tracy or Tim
So what if I dress a little differently
It doesn’t mean I’m bad inside
So what if I dress a little differently
But no, you just have to push me aside
It’s not like I’m ruining your rep or making you lose your cool
I’m just a new member aboard the learning cruise at this school
So stop being racist
Because I can take a stand
So stop being prejudiced
Because I can withstand
All the rude comments made by you and your friends
All the rude comments from you and your gang
How is that for a touching story like no other?
I think it’s pretty good, because I can’t make another
