Pretzel Princess This work is considered exceptional by our editorial staff.

One day I could run in a white smocked dress
Down the row of fresh roses
In the light of the golden sun
One day I would not be wearing this waitress vest
Waiting for guests to come in with my lifeless pose
With my eyes looking soulless and blunt
One day I could run in a white smock dress
Down the row of hopeful hyacinths
Towards the water fountain
One day I would not be wearing this waitress vest
Standing at the bar to have all of the time to think
While looking outside at the pouring rain
One day I could run in a white smock dress
Past the water fountain and down the graveled path that leads toward…
…a maze of trimmed bushes
One day I would not be stuck in this waitress vest
I would be traveling down past the path towards Peach Blossom Boulevard
To find my dream prince while the sunset makes my rosy face all the more blushed
And I will close my eyes
Imagining the butterflies fly
While I pucker my lips to kiss
But I missed
No one was standing in front of me
It was just a guy who was beardy
Handing me a smelly soaked mop
Waiting for me to dip it in new soap
