"Love me, hate me, but you will remember me." Anthony G.

Thoroughly confused.
I'm now amused.
I check topside,
As I look on the upside.
And I'm upside down.
Hiding my frown
Earth floats precisely
And I inquire politely
About the name
Of that beautiful dame
No answer returns
And my passion burns
I must have her
But not until after
I check on the tomes
of how she becomes
mine
in due time
I don't wish to wait
Do not want to hesitate
But I can't move too fast
Or I'll seem like an a**
How can I know
How much my heart grows
Far beyond measure
Of the immense pleasure
Brought on by true love
From high above
The Earth
The place of my birth
Now in ruin
My friends and kin
Now dead
And how I dread
To fall asleep
Trying not to weep
Until I realize
The starry skies
Can hear my cries
And answer back
With the wisdom I lack
I'm in a dream
And it would seem
I can never return
To the place that I yearn
To Earth
The place of my birth...

The author's comments:
A young man dreams about being one of the few survivors of Earth's destruction. Now at home on a dormant space station, that orbits the remains of our world, all the while, falling in love with a woman, In which he is unsure of her feelings towards him. Written a few minutes ago as I ponder my own dreams and Ideas.
