Sleep little child
Don’t wake just yet
The thunders a rolling
Don’t wake
you may get wet
Go back to sleep
Little one
The sun has yet to rise
Don’t worry
Little one
The storms will subside
Forget your troubles
Little one
and together
you and the sun will rise

The author's comments:
When I wrote this poem I was thinking about how a child would feel living in a place of war, and how it would be stormy, but eventually the war would end and so would the storm. Really though you could connect this to your life in whatever way you feel it connects to you.
