As we must account for every idle word, so must we account for every idle silence.
-Benjamin Franklin

I strut into the gym with my friends at hand,
we chat like nothing has happened,
but the differences in the huge universe we think school is, is immediately apparent in me,
for as I look over and see tides of teens I see your face in the vast vast sea.

Your eyes are laughing and your smile is bright.
Your tousled hair is a field of black on your fair face,
Your beauty sits in the back, isolated, because of want or just being who you are is unknown,
either way you reman as secluded as do I, alone on a sea vessel,
I am a lone voyager on a mission to get to you.

You remain naive as to my goal, but that’s ok with me because that cannot remain the way it is.
One or the other will always give way, and we will then be surrounded by are friends as well as our soul mates and will embrace in a bout of happiness.
For we will finally be known to the world,
and your secret smile will not hide behind the brim of your hat.
