My Perfect Rainbow

You can be my sunshine
My bright yellow sunshine
And you can be my air
My deep crisp blue air
And my plum purples
And my cherry blossom red
My firecracker sparkle
And my diamond dazzle
You can be my favorite shade of green grass
In the early mornings of spring
And that pretty pink
That evades your cheeks when I plant a kiss upon you
Maybe you can be my rainbow
My very own
Of every color I love
So when my day is feeling gray
I can look at it
And enjoy the simplicity and beauty
Of my personal rainbow
