my lack of motivation
has nothing to do with you
and nothing to do with me.
my body controls what
i can
and cannot do.
i may be at the top
but it has all the controls
its disease is seizing
all that i could have.
contemplate my answer
and debate the taste
degrade me as i’m smiling at you
and turn away in disgust as i turn weary from battle.
