Favorite Quote:
Can't chose just one, two I love currently are, "People who deny the existence of dragons are often eaten by dragons. From within. " — Ursula K. LeGuin and ""This is the forest primeval. The murmuring pines and the hemlocks, Bearded with moss, and in garments green, indistinct in the twilight, Stand like Druids of eld, with voices sad and phrophetic..." Evangeline by Henry W. Longfellow

Darling,
Your eyes are the color of mould,
Your lips are the shade of a deadly mushroom,
Your skin is pale like the underbelly of a frog,
Your freckles remind me of when I spilled liver stew on my favorite shirt,
Your hair is like the unfinished nest of a crow,
Your hands are like th epaws of a shrew or perhaps some other rodent,
Your for reminds of an oddly shaped potato,
And your nose, your nose is like the beak of the bird my cat caught,
Your lovliness is astounding,
I cannot think that I have ever seen such beauty.

Love,

Luke the Troll

Thsi piece is about both the power of words and the meaning of beauty. The person that you "see" is one that Luke loves and thinks is beautiful, even if she isn't described by our standards as beautiful. She is beautiful becasue someone thinks she is. Also, if I described the same features in a different way you would "see" an entirely different person, perhaps someone you would think of as beautiful. Words are powerful.
