So desperately he tries for her approval
In vain it seems
Does she not know his love is true
Everlasting it seems
Alone he lies; crying himself to sleep
Unnoticed it seems
Can he ever show her he won’t hurt her
Will he ever get the chance
Never it seems
How far must she push him away
How close will he try to get
Her heart is hard it seems
Yet he knows it is soft
Does she look at him; or past him
Through him it seems
