What a smile can hide
You look at me and think that I am sleeping
Come check feel my pulse… am I still breathing?
You don’t really know what’s going on inside of me
You think you do but you don’t
You can’t see the hurt, the pain I feel inside
You weren’t there all those nights I cried myself to sleep
It’s funny how much a smile can hide
On the out side all you see is a bright happy teenager
But if you were to look inside my eyes
You’d uncover a tangled web of lies
And you’d really know how I feel inside
But you won’t ever look inside my eyes....
Because that is what a smile can hide
