Nothing More Than A Dream

If I could fly
I would take you under my wings and show you the view from the sky
Together we would soar high
So high that all you could do is sigh
Because the overwhelming feeling of peace would ease your mind
And I would whisper… everything will be fine
As every moment spent would be yours and mine
To be together and cherish each second as if it were our last sip of the finest wine
Only to wake up and realize it was only a stream of unconscious thoughts to pass the time
A simple dream of what will never be because nothing is ever what it seems
