Your name was forever
To be engraved in my heart
But then of course
We were torn apart
Hope was forever
To remain in my eyes
But all was shattered when we said
Our final goodbyes
When you see me now
You’ll get a lonely blank stare
You robbed me of everything
You know was once there
If all was right my hand
Would still be in your hand
When I was with you I soared
With no need to land
But all hearts break
There’s no more to be said
I’m just facing the heartache
That lies dead ahead.
