"Once a war happens, the fate of the whole world changes. How? Because someone always dies. And when one person dies, the rest of the world lives their whole lives one person short."

Today it snowed in Georgia – it never snows in Georgia
Today I looked out my window
I saw the flakes fall and cover the ground in white
And watched, almost unbelieving as it covered the mud and the dirt
I smiled at the snow and for a split second
I truly believed that it brought peace, hope, and love
But then I turned from the window
And I heard the fighting – the yelling and the hate
And I realized that no matter how much it snowed
And now matter how much the snow covered
That the dirt would always still be there
And a single tear fell down my cheek
Because of the closed windows and locked doors
I knew that peace would never come into my home
Just like it never snows in Georgia.

Today the snow melted
And I watched it go
And I waved good-bye
As the dirt became exposed

Truly great~ A bit heartbreaking, but it rings true. I like that the snow represents hope for a better tomorrow, but it occurs for only a fleeting moment. It is then at that point that reality hits like a slap in the face---the symbol of dirt in your poem. Splendid job~
