Blood, tears, pain…
just a few words to describe the twisted world of war.
All for what?
Pride knowing you just killed a mothers son, self-gratification that you took away some kids parent, or respect from the trained killers around you. Fighting in a war that can never be won.
Victory on the terms of the most killed, most screams heard, most bullets shot, or most bombs detonated…and to be honorable by a medal?
What must this medal truly represent…
