I Give Thanks

I give thanks to the past of you and me,
I give thanks to friends and family,
To all the precious laughs and smiles,
For the memories that go on for miles and miles,
To the special one who made my day better,
A joke a hug or a simple letter,
But as i give thanks i cant help but wonder,
If i should give thanks to my mistakes and blunders,
I lost from them a special bond,
A friendship that is completley gone,
The trust and happiness is lost forever,
No doubt, i regret for what is no longer,
So tell me.
Do i give thanks to what made me stronger?
