F*ck beauty contests. Life is one f*cking beauty contest after another. You know, school, then college, then work, f*ck that. You do what you love and f*ck the rest.

Sink or Swim
What should I do?
I want to swim,
But I keep getting pulled down.
I swim with all my might,
But it may not be enough,
to stay above,
to see the light.
What is the light?
Goals?
Dreams?
Hopes?
Friends?
Family?
Does the light mean enough?
To use all of my energy,
and fight to go on?
Or is the anchor to much to bear?
The weight to much?
Is it a fight, I have lost?
Before I have fought.
What is the anchor?
Struggles?
Differences?
Obstacles?
Pain?
Doubt?
Fear?
I crave to see up above.
I must get free, before it's to late.
I struggle to free myself,
of rope and anchor.
I am down so far below.
I'm running out of air.
I make myself see the light.
The anchor is sinking,
I don't want to join it.
Below is my past.
Above if my future.
I slip free and swim,
to way up above.
I breathe in the air, smiling
when the sun hits my body.
My future is bright,
now I'll swim.
Below the anchor lies,
holding my past.
I'll never get tanged ...
ever again.
