Unavoidable end of innocence

She's such a child
Laughing all the time
Unable to remember her work
Cryng at each dead pet
As if it were a human

She's such a child
Afraid of getting lost
Needing a phone to be safer
And also to look older
As if she couldn't enjoy her youth

She's such a child
Remembering the most important
Unable to give a concrete expression to her ideas
And crying at each reprimand
As if people didn't like her

She's such a child
Messing up with friends
At every occasion
But forgiving them
With laughs and hugs

She's such a child
And one day, she'll grow older
And I hope it's not going to come too fast
Although you can't stop a drop of water
From falling.

very excellent job. i liked everything butthe very ending because it seemed so out of context- about the falling water. but you probably had a very specific picture when you wrote this.

Thank you :). The picture is actually my little sister but I understand why you don't like the end. It relates to the title of the poem :) and it's a lot about the idea I have of growing and realizing that life isn't simple at all.
