Fallen Angel's Blood

November 22, 2009
It landed gently beside me,
A dagger buried in its breast.
Devil’s hot touch intruded,
In the fallen angel’s blood.

I felt its hand,
Almost burning with fire.
Leaning down to listen
In the fallen angel’s blood.

The silver, pure heart,
Thick with black,
Beat gently for me,
In the fallen angel’s blood.

The two words,
Whispered softly in my head.
Please and Love
In the fallen angel’s blood.

The sun was rising,
The golden light awakening,
Before it left,
In the fallen angel’s blood.

And I remember that day,
That angel who disappeared.
Deciding whether to continue on,
Away from the fallen angel’s blood.
