Drawing her heel towards the sky
Gripping onto the beam,
The lady in plaid realizing the height beneath her

Bracing herself in the wind,

Shaking unsteadily
Setting her mind to be free

Relishing in the excitement of life,

Gambling with death
A pressuring draft lifts the threads of her frock

Knowing that movement will be suicide
Amusement is awakened
Ready to plunge during the rush

Watching a bird swivel past her
She widens her arms
Leaping to soar alongside the creature

A photograph included by Erwin Blumenfeld, "Lisa Fonssagrives", was my inspiration for the piece.
