The Memories of You
I remember…. We watched All My Children on television together
And made cookies and played board games and when you got me
Out of trouble when I did badly in school
And I when you bought me that doll I wanted and
Gave me candy out of your purse
And when you held my hand in the mall and
When I was sick you took care of me and made me feel better
And you never told me you were sick
I wanted the chance to tell you I love you and to say goodbye
