Sometimes I see better in the dark
The black envelopes me
Sameness
Sometimes I hear better in the dark
The stillness chills me
Oneness
The touch of an obscure hand upon my heart
Heavy and mellow
Letting me know I can still feel
Refueled by the absence of light
Pungent black
Completeness
The taste of a shadow layered on another
Thick and smooth
Satisfying my palette
Awakens my thoughts to present reality
Luke-warm grey
Indecisiveness
