Good-Bye
I’ll always remember when I got that phone call
I’ll always remember what I was doing at that horrible time
I’ll always remember that guilt that I have
For not wanting to leave my friends house that day
You left us too soon,
We weren’t ready to say good-bye to you yet
Time flies, yet life is just too short to realize what’s going on
Every time I think about this tragedy, the tears well up,
Anytime I remember old memories,
I feel the pain come back
Because no matter how many times
We went into that dark, dreary hospital room to
Say goodbye to you,
It was not the way it should have ended
