Lifes Journey
Life is an old sidewalk
Its rough texture
Showing hardness
Etched from countless
Journeys,
Challenges faced –
Yet still it remains tough
Optimistically moving
Ever forward
Life is a bloom
Of springs first flower
Year after year
Determined to
Combat the winter world around me
Stormy wind bends it low
Yet still it stands high
With colorful pride
With confidence
Adolescence is a
Roller coaster
It starts off suspenseful
Abrupts ups and downs
Anticipating
Makes my stomach turn
The only thing to do is
Clench on tightly
Throw back my head
And scream
All the while knowing
It’s been worth
The wait
