It started with an ember, so small and untouched.
The fire caught, and set.
The flames climbed and climbed devouring the house in tasteful gulps.
Destroying everything in its path. What a beautiful disaster.
I sat upon the hard cold stone road this scary night, and looked for a home, that had once been in sight.
And with a loud pop, and a feirce fiery roar it collapsed.
All the memories, possesions, and things i once had, were soon floating down, above my head.
It started snowing memories and things id once known.
Now im looking at a fresh blanket of snow covering the ground.
Not winter, not summer, but a new season found.
The day of the white fire, and when those stupid smoke flakes trickled to the ground.

The author's comments:
I wrote this poem while burning leaves with my father. I was actually just complaining about how I had blisters on my hands and how they hurt so bad. Then I realized who am I to complain about something as small as blisters. I have everything i could possibly need and I take it for granted. The fire inspired this poem.
