Sitting on the doorstep
Waiting for him
As she always is
Hoping and praying
He'll come by soon
But she knows
It's gonna be a while
A while before
He even shows his face
A while before
He walks away again
As he always does
Day by day
She hopes for change
Hoping and praying
He'll stop in front of her today
Take her hand
And run away
With her...
