I am not the typical Bengali American Muslim girl,
My name or looks doesn't say much about me,
But here is just the beginning of me.
Bangladesh
My parent's and sister's homeland,
One travel spot for visiting relatives,
Vacations there will be remembered.
America
My resident country,
Where good and bad times are lived,
My past and present scene, but hopefully not for long.
Islam
My complete way of life,
Shaping my perspective and lifestyle in many ways
Teaching me to learn, live, and love.

Bengali by blood,
American by birth,
Muslim by belief,
I am the one and only me!

I am also a Bengali and its great u r one too. Well, a mix to be honest. And im also a muslim. Do u come home often? Where is ur home district? Can you speak and write Bengali?

thank you for the comment. i was born in america and still live here but went to bd a couple of times in the past. the last being in 2007. im not really good at speaking bangali and i dont know how to write it either. english for me all the way! check out my other writing pieces if you havent already.
