Why won’t you look at me?
Do you feel bad?
I do too.
You say you don’t like my tears…
So why are you causing them?

My neighbor screams.
Her child has disappeared,
Just like my heart.
No more games by the trees.

The river flows brown.
I reach to drink,
And it tastes like pain.

Nighttime has collapsed upon us.
Running, I feel tired.
They shout while I fall.

I was inspired by injustice suffered by children, especially in the African Continent, regarding food, shelter, etc.
