I followed the sound of rushing water
to a hole in the rock,
my fairyland-
that led down, under the world

Where ancient stalagmites
form a cathedral of stones-
and rubies-
holding up the Universe above

The author's comments:
This was inspired by the fairyland portion of Rock City, in Nashville, Tennesse. I loved going there when I was younger, and my imagination always ran away with me.
