Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

I don’t act my age, that’s what everyone tells me.
I’m so mature ho can I be so young, I certainly don’t look it.
At first glance in not a little girl.
As the conversation carries on my age is forgotten, sure she can’t know so much.
If I don’t look or act so young why am I still treated like a child.
Constantly people will start talking with me and then remember my age.
Choosing their words carefully, censoring on my behalf.
They try to save my innocence but it’s already gone.
I’ve seen so much but still I'm restricted, held back from what I already know.
I’m always told I ac t above my age, so why is my freedom based on my age instead of my ACTIONS.
