We grew up together
You and I
My first memory, us in the yard
we got along so well then

I was gone 5 years or so
And I had become Rebellious
you preferred the mainstream
every talk ended a fight

Now a year later hear i sit
I think of all the times we spent together
Everyone else greeted me home
You refused me,blamed me for things i couldn't control

Now we havnt spoken forever and the friendship is over
The only thing i have left is a picture of me and you
Sitting in the yard playing back when we were little
I miss you lizy

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece about my very first friend who I called Lizy we were friends from the time of her birth basically and when I was about 7 I was moved across the country.When my family moved back me and her no longer got along and we haven't spoken since and it still really troubles me.
