Grandpa
Grandpa
What words can I say
To describe this man?
All the feelings of security,
When he holds me in his hands…
Every shake of the hand
And hug from a bear…
And all the times
He told me to cut my hair.
He is so big,
I am so small.
But with our big love,
Size doesn’t matter at all.
I sit on his lap, as
He holds me in his arms.
He holds me there
And keeps me safe from harm.
When I am around him,
I am the happiest I've ever been,
Because he is not just my grandpa;
He is my best friend.
