"(Laugh). That's funny. You say that as if I should care."

When picking an apple from a tree,
You go for the higher ones.
The apples sitting safely on the top.
These are the perfect of apples.
The ones untouched by little hands.
The best tasting apple is one you could have.
The one you waited so long to get.
The taste of satisfaction fills you
As you enjoy that apple.
But this apple will come at a price.
It is a long climb up the tree
To where that apple is perched.
You might fall.
And fall hard you will.
As you lay on the ground,
Paralyzed in pain,
You see another apple.
It calls to you.
When you are ready,
That apple is there.
As it has been all along.
