Favorite Quote:
A woman's heart is a deep ocean of secrets

Eerie Silence
Schools filled with fear
Towns filled with dread
Silence Beyond Belief

Off we go
Trudged along with the march
One foot after the other as one
Then
Silence Beyond Belief

Musty smells
Diesel fuel and mustard gas
Aroma of red iron
Silence Beyond Belief

Back home,
Flags wave high
Buildings result to dust
Death Beyond Belief

Eight years later
Time between ten bells and twelve
Silence for those lost
Silence Beyond Belief

This poem was inspired by the 8th year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Our school held an assembly honoring those who died in the Twin Towers and the Pennsylvania Field.
