As I sit here
In darkness
Despair overwhelms me
Being unsure becomes of me
In complete darkness
I cry in silence
As I cry it seems to –
Release the pain
I don’t want to cry –
But I do
The darkness
Resembles my sorrow
The hurt and pain
I endure
How can the light become of me
When despair overwhelms me
